Lighthouse Point Pipe Lining Company Restores Underground Cast Iron Pipes To Stop All Back-Ups, Without Excavation!

Most homes built on the water in Lighthouse Point were built before 1972. This means they all have cast iron pipes underground! Over their Limited 50-year lifespan, the bottom of these pipes corrode and the bottom of the pipe keeps getting thinner and thinner, until a crack forms. These cracks have serrated edges that catch on debris, which causes repeated backups. Plumbers recommend replacing these drains, either by excavating underneath the floor from the outside or by cutting through the concrete inside the house, which usually means that the kitchen cabinets get ruined. Also, the floor surface will be destroyed which will have to be repaired. The excavation method takes about 2 months for a 2000-square-foot house, and costs between $45,000 and $75,000, compared to trenchless pipe lining that costs around $17,000, which installs in 4 days, and has a 50-year warranty!

Don’t Excavate Floors Ro Replace Old Cast Iron Drains!

Digging up old drains in Lighthouse Point has a unique challenge, in that the canal fills the excavation holes with water! However, our trenchless sewer pipe repair technology can restore the inside of a pipe with a load-bearing new inner lining, which costs 60% less than excavation, takes about four days, and comes with a 50-year warranty. Most homes in Lighthouse Point have either terrazzo floors or matching tile floors throughout the entire house, so excavation is not really an option. Trenchless pipe lining technologies have been around for residential applications since 1998 and we have been installing trenchless technologies since 2004. We do free estimates in Broward County every Tuesday and Wednesday, and it takes about 15 minutes at the most to take measurements and we give you the quote immediately.

Benefits Of Trenchless Pipe Lining

  • No digging through your floors
  • Much less expensive – pipe relining costs about 50% less than excavation
  • Save your tile, wood, or marble – it’s usually impossible to find matching floor surfaces that were installed decades ago
  • Stay in your home, not a hotel – pipe relining is done from outside, so you can stay in your residence
  • Speed – pipe lining takes 1 day, not months as for pipe replacement by excavation
  • The plumbing can be used during installation except for 3-4 hours a day

How Is It Installed, And What’s The Cost In Broward County?

From outside your property, we open the pipe, clean out the rust, scale, and roots, and then install a new “pipe liner” or sleeve that has been saturated with a self-hardening epoxy resin. The liner contains a balloon that is inflated for 3 hours while the resin becomes rock-hard. Then the balloon is removed and a video inspection is performed to ensure correct installation. The pipe is put back into use immediately. A 2,000-square-foot house would cost about $17,000 to re-line. Learn more pipe lining installation details here.

How Strong Is The Pipe Lining?

The pipe liner is a fabric tube made of polyester which is then “wet out” with a 2-part epoxy resin which is mixed together in a certain proportion. In about 30 minutes resin heats up by itself to 180 degrees Fahrenheit due to an exothermic chemical reaction and becomes rock hard.

The resulting new inner pipe liner is so strong that it is a stand-alone pipe, not needing the old exterior pipe for structural integrity. The liner is designed to go under load-bearing footers, roads, driveways, etc.
