Excavation underneath a house means of soil is removed and the soil has to be put back and compacted as well as possible. The compaction will not be as good as the original, which means that the ground will settle and the concrete slab will track. Of course having people under your house means they could get buried and die by accident. So pipe relining is truly the only way to go for pipe replacement.
