Coral Gables Pipe Repair Service Restores Sewer Pipes For 100 Years Without Digging!

If you are a resident of Coral Gables there is a good chance your house was built before 1972. In such cases, the underground drains are made of cast iron and have rusted to such an extent that there are holes and cracks in the pipe which results in repeated drain backups. Most likely you have had a pipe video inspection done and the plumber’s recommendation is to excavate through the floor of your house or dig underneath your house to replace all these pipes. The typical cost of that ranges from $40,000 to $50,000.

“Epoxy Pipe Lining” Repairs Underground Pipes Without Digging, Costing 60% Less!

Our Pipe Lining Has A 50-Year Warranty!

Our pipe lining technology can repair your drains for 100 years

Fortunately, these days there is so-called “cured in place pipe lining” technology that can restore your pipes within one or two days. The new pipe lining is completely smooth and super strong so that it can act as a stand-alone pipe when the old pipe has completely rusted away. This technology is not actually new – it was initially developed for large-diameter pipes underneath roads and industrial facilities about 30 years ago. But in the last 15 years, the technology was developed for smaller diameter pipes underneath homes and in the walls of condominiums.

We do quotes in Coral Gables every Tuesday and Wednesday.

So how does cured-in-place pipe lining actually work?

From outside the property we locate where the pipe leaves the house or the building and we open up the pipe to clean it using high-pressure water jets and specialized drain snaking brushing tools. This process removes all the old corrosion and the accumulated calcium scale. Next video inspection camera is used to determine how long the length of pipe lining material has to be and where the incoming branch connections are located so that a small piece of pipe lining material can be cut out of the liner prior to installation so that the branch line is not obstructed. Next, the lining material is saturated using a special epoxy resin which when mixed together with a catalyst heats up and hardens the liner within 4 hours. We pull the liner into the pipe and remove a temporary balloon afterward and a final video inspection is done.

Benefits of pipe relining vs excavation and replacement

The average 2,000-square-foot house has approximately 90 feet of cast iron drains under the slab. If you replaced the pipes the old-fashioned way, you would need to dig up all the concrete and excavate a 3-foot-deep and 3-foot-wide trench throughout the entire house. Then, you would replace the pipe, sand, and concrete, which takes about 8 weeks. Afterward, the tile or carpet has to be replaced, and the house has to be sanitized. In South Florida, it typically costs $50,000 for a house of this size, in addition to hotel and furniture storage costs.

On the other hand, 90 feet of trenchless sewer pipe repair will run about $18,000, and the installation would take about 3 days. During this time, the tenants can stay in their homes and can use the plumbing almost all the time.

Trenchless pipe lining takes a couple of days to do for an entire house and the tenants may stay in the house and use the pipes overnight every day. The process only costs about half as much as excavation. Also, the floor surfaces can be preserved. Old-fashioned pipe excavation and replacement takes three to four weeks typically and the tenants have to move out of their property and take with them any pets and make arrangements for accommodation typically in hotels.
