50 year warrantyOur 50-year “materials” warranty is based off of the 50-year life expectancy as calculated by HTS Materials Testing in Houston TX.

HTS Materials Testing & Quality Control

In order to maintain the materials approvals by the ASTM, EPA, NSF, IAPMO etc., our liners and resin are randomly sampled at the manufacturer without prior warning, and taken back to HTS Materials Testing in Houston, where the resin is mixed in the right ratio and applied to our liners.

enviro-frindlyThen they test the physical strength (see below), chemical resistance, heat, cold, environmentally friendly factors etc. to ensure that all the minimum standards are being maintained. The factors tested are:

  • SAMPLE COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH (psi)
  • ASTM D 695 TENSILE STRENGTH (psi)
  • ASTM D 638 TENSILE ELONGATION
  • ASTM D 638 FLEXURAL STRENGTH ( psi)
  • ASTM D 790 FLEXURAL MODULUS ( psi)
  • ASTM D 790

The “labor” component of the warranty can be verified upon completion of installation by recorded video inspection:

  • Does the liner start and stop in the correct places?
  • Are there any defects in the shape of the liner that will obstruct flow?
  • Are the pipe branch connections unobstructed by the liner?
  • Has any excess resin “squeezed out” into the branch connections?

One (l) sample of cured-in-place pipe liner was delivered to HTS’ laboratory for testing. The sample was tested in accordance with ASTM D695, ASTM D638 Type 11, and ASTM D790 Method 1 Procedure A. A Support Span-to-Depth Ratio of 16 to I was used as specified in the test standard ASTM D790. Thickness measurements, compressive strength, tensile strength, tensile modulus, flexural stress and flexural modulus of elasticity tests were performed on the sample. Five (5) specimens were cut and tested from the sample. The results summarized and reported below are averages of the five (5) specimens. A test report for the sample is attached.
